UCP has always placed a high value on encouraging those we serve to advocate for themselves and others.

We have both Modesto and Turlock UCP chapters of SAC6. Both are active locally and regionally. Members of the Self-Advocacy groups participate in monthly meetings together to discuss upcoming events, issues they are dealing with and ways to make their needs known to those who they receive services from and discuss legislature priorities.
Both groups have participated in the CHOICES conference and attended rally's at the capital to advocate for legislative change.
